SIMON SHEPHERD, B.Ec, G.Dip.Com, M.B.A, C.A, J.P.
Director
Simon has a Bachelor of Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Commerce, Master of Business Administration, Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, Registered Company Auditor and a Justice of the Peace.
After a year manufacturing and export marketing and sales in Werdohl, Germany and a further 3 years export marketing and sales in Wollongong, he joined Shepherd Miller in January 1999 becoming a partner of the firm in July 2006.
Simon specializes in Taxation, Accountancy, Audit, Business and Management and Information Technology.
He enjoys rugby union, classical music, gardening, history and archaeology.
JENNY has a Bachelor of Commerce from Wollongong University and is a Chartered Accountant. She has worked with Shepherd Miller since 1998, currently on a part time basis. Jenny specialises in taxation, accountancy, audit and business management.
RAYMOND SHEPHERD

Ray is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand, a Registered Tax Agent, Registered Company Auditor, Registered Self Managed Superannuation Auditor and a Justice of the Peace.
He established the practice in 1973 as a sole practitioner, which subsequently evolved into Shepherd Miller. Prior to commencing practice he was employed at Cooper Brothers & Co and Wadds & Harmer Chartered Accountants.
Ray maintains a keen interest in all facets of accounting public practice with particular emphasis on taxation and audit.
Ray has two adult children and five grandchildren and in his leisure time enjoys golf, rugby union and wine.
CAITLYN has a Bachelor of Accounting & Financial Services with distinction from University of Wollongong and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). After over 7 years’ experience in a local public practice accounting firm, Caitlyn joined Shepherd Miller in January 2023. Caitlyn specialises in Taxation & Accounting for SMSFs.
TRISH NELSON

Trish has a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand.
After 2 years at a terminating building society, she moved into 6½ years in public practice accounting firm. Following this, she spent 2 year as an investment consultant and company accountant for a leading investment firm. Trish commenced at Shepherd Miller in August 1990.
She specialises in Accountancy, Taxation, Superannuation and Business and Management.
MITRA has a Bachelor of Commerce from Iran, Master of Professional Accounting from University of Wollongong and CPA Associate. She has several years of work experience in Tax and Financial accounting in several industries including in Commercial, non for profit and public practice in Iran and Australia. Mitra commenced at Shepherd Miller in June '21.
JUDITH has 30 years experience in public practice accountancy firms and has been with Shepherd Miller since 2011. Jude specialises in administration, clerical and reception.
KATIE has over 13 years experience as an Executive Assistant and achieved her Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting in 2020. Prior to this she spent 6 years in Real Estate in both Canberra and Walsh Bay. She joined the administration team on a part time basis in July 2021.
